This project developed over several phases as the family needs changed, beginning with carving a cozy spa-like primary suite out of the basement and finishing with a new kitchen, sunroom, and open light-filled stairwell connecting the levels.

 

We developed an earthy modern vocabulary of subtle contrasts to harmonize with the historical details of this classic East Bay stucco bungalow.
